In this guide, I share helpful tips and a detailed buying guide on how to choose the perfect sunglasses step by step, without compromising on both fashion and functionality.

1. Determine face shape – the basis for the perfect choice
Before you decide on a model, it's worth taking a quick look in the mirror. The shape of your face influences which glasses look most harmonious. Use the following overview as a guide:

Face shape: Round
Square, angular frames, cat-eye
Avoid: Round glasses

Face shape: Oval
Almost all shapes possible
Avoid: Very wide frame

Face shape: Square
Round, oval glasses
Avoid: Hard, angular shape

Face shape: Heart-shaped
Aviator, rimless models
Avoid: Very wide top frames

Tip: Make sure the glasses fit proportionally to the width of your face – frames that are too small or too large can disrupt the overall look.

  • Clean with the included microfiber cloth – do not use clothes or paper towels, even if tempted to do so, as this will shorten the lifespan of the coating and scratch it rather than clean it.

  • Protect from heat, e.g., in a car in direct sunlight.
